石化した書物シリーズは、経年を経てある環境下にて鉱物化した樹木、珪化木からインスピレーションを得ています。

山口茉莉　YAMAGUCHI Mari

愛知県生まれ、主に神奈川で育つ　女子美術大学、及び同大学修士課程を修了後、製本を学ぶ　
自然物から受け取るイメージや空想建築をテーマにリトグラフと小立体をメインに制作、

2019年よりボックスアートを制作開始、併せて発表している

わたしにとって創作とは想像すること、それは幾重にも重なる時間の体積を読み解き、自分の手で物語を組み立てることだと考えます

自然界に抗うことの出来ない法則、時間の流れ、働きをわずかでも認識しながら創作を続けていきたいと願っています
